I’m a Chinese-Canadian with roots from Indonesia living in Bangkok, doing SharePoint, intranet and knowledge management stuff for UNDP during the day and trying to find time for badminton, photography, playing guitar, cycling, traveling, eating, meeting with new and old friends in the other times.

I’m a self-professed info-sponge, techno-geek, audiophile and relatively uncomplicated guy with complex interests.

I got to Bangkok in a way I didn’t really expect. An elaborate life plan designed by myself in early high-school, was turned around after experiencing failure – three times. However, those “failures” ultimately built up my faith and opened up my doors to a horizon I wouldn’t have otherwise imagined.

Along the way, I’ve been able to engage with a great church community, realize one of my dreams of working for the United Nations, meet and marry an amazing girl, travel, and realize I don’t have enough time in the world to see, do and experience all that I wish.

I have been taking photographs from 2007 with a simple Canon AV-1 camera. I spent a lot of money shooting film until I graduated to digital. I now shoot with a Canon 5D with 17-40mm f/4 and 70-200mm f/2.8 IS lenses. Travel and street scenes have been the main staple of what I shoot, but I’ll do the occasional weddings, concerts and events. I will shoot often with my wife, who also has a great photographic eye.

Travel opens up my eyes to the world. Taking photos lets me share what I see with the world.

Enjoy the blogs and photos. If you’ve enjoyed them so much, commission us to shoot for you.
